Who is responsible

This website is run by the author writing as Star Again, based in Belgium. For anything in this notice, contact me by replying to any email from the reader list, or through the contact option on the newsletter signup page.

What this site does not do

No cookies. No analytics. No tracking pixels. No advertising scripts. No social media embeds. Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so reading these pages sends your data to no third party beyond the host below.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Like any web host, Vercel processes your IP address and browser details in server logs to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Vercel's privacy policy.

The reader list

The newsletter signup links on this site lead to a page operated by Kit (Kit Inc., USA). If you subscribe there, Kit processes your email address on my behalf to send you the reader list emails. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm your address. You can withdraw consent at any moment with the unsubscribe link in every email; your address is then removed. Kit participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Kit's privacy policy.

Buying the books

The buy buttons lead to external stores (Amazon, ZBookStore). Whatever you do there is governed by their own privacy policies; no purchase data comes back to this site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and take your data elsewhere. For the reader list, the fastest route is the unsubscribe link; for anything else, contact me as described above. You can also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Belgium that is the Data Protection Authority (GBA/APD).
